Four Seasons Environmental, Inc. was proud to speak at the Ohio Association of School Business Officials' Business Operations Winter Seminar, which took place February 11 and 12.

During a two-hour segment titled "Energy Education – How to save and manage your energy dollars more effectively," Reed Tarkington, Vice President of FSE, and Ken Yockey, Facilities Performance Engineer at FSE, spoke to school district officials about the role of energy in building performance. Together they spoke about many encompassing topics, including energy dashboards, energy metering, preventive maintenance, energy policies and facility evaluations, and how each of these topics effect facilities and ways evaluate your performance based on each topic.

"One of the things I think was really effective was the breakout sessions," notes Ken. Throughout the time, attendees broke into smaller, round tables for the officials to discuss the various topics and how they relate to their schools. "Therefore, the takeaway from the sessions was that the different operations directors built relationships with other districts and were able to build on those relationships, and on those topics," says Ken.

The OASBO conference, which took place in Columbus, OH, touches on many "hot operations topics" according to its description. "It was a privilege, first of all to be invited, and then to be given a two-hour timeslot spoke to the priority that the OASBO placed on energy," explains Ken, "so it was a privilege for us to be there and address them, as well attend it."
