Sharing the Warmth

February 2015

Kenny Ross Dropping of the DonationCongratulations and thank you to our employees at all of the Georgia CDC sites and buildings for their generosity during the recent overcoat drive. 2015 Project Overcoat was a huge success! In fact, the FSE employees at the CDC collected more than ten 55-gallon trash bags packed full of coats and blankets for men, women and children!

The 2013 U.S. Census Bureau estimates that one out of every ten senior citizens in Georgia lies in poverty. As such, FSE employees at the CDC in Georgia teamed up with the Atlanta Mission and the United Way for the 2015 overcoat and blanket campaign. Over two-and-a-half weeks, employees were encouraged to bring new or gently used coats of all sizes and blankets to set drop-off points.

"The huge success of this drive is attributed to the employees at Roybal, Chamblee and Lawrenceville campuses that contributed to make someone who is less fortunate warm during the coldest months of the year," says Darwin Parker, Vice President at Four Seasons Environmental, Inc.

Project Overcoat comes on the heels of a successful canned-food drive last year, in which employees donated three 55-gallon drums of canned goods to the Atlanta Mission.

Thank you to all of our employees at the CDC for your kindness and generosity!
