Cincinnati Building Pursues Energy ConservationDecember 2011
Usually known as "The Enquirer Building," the 26-story building located at 312 Elm Street recently set its sights on becoming more energy efficient. Under new ownership, the new facility managers (Cassidy Turley) set out to reduce the amount of energy the 20-year-old facility uses. In order to do so, Cassidy Turley looked to Four SeasonsEnvironmental, Inc. to perform an energy survey, which is used to identify opportunities to reduce energy usage and to reduce the cost to operate the building while enhancing the indoor environment to the tenants.
Through the energy audit, FSE has provided Cassidy Turley with a number of energy measures in which the building can become more energy efficient, which will not only positively affect the indoor environment, but also decrease the energy costs.
"It was a pleasure working with Cassidy Turley. It's a professional group and even though it only took over about six months ago, the staff is already taking charge and implementing lots of positive changes," explains Gary Robinson, facilities performance engineer with Four Seasons Environmental, Inc. "I am excited at the prospect of working with their team further to help implement some of the recommendations made in the energy audit."
